I found it challenging to finish my three slides the way I wanted them.

Spy Ethics - Carmen Sandiego

In Room 1 we have been talking about Carmen Sandiego and we got to make a google slide or a google drawing of spy ethics.

An artifact has been stolen from our class.

The inside of our classroom was a mess and the outside.

I enjoyed making a google slide of spy ethics.

I found it hard to try and get a back round so you can read the writing so I just used a theme.

In Room 1 for reading my reading group had to make a book review about the materialiser.

Tom Trueheart

In Room 1 for writting we were writting a story about a boy could Tom Trueheart.
I enjoyed publishing my story on my blogg.
I found it hard to finish it and put it on my blogg by wednesday.

Tom Trueheart

Snow flakes hoverd through the air trees swead it the wind. Tom trueheart trugged through the snow trying to get to Lord Oldor’s castle to rescue his six brothers and the princess brides. But there was only one problam Tom trueheart was as small as a thumb. The evil wizard Lord Oldor casted a spell on him.

At last Tom trueheart finally arived at Lord Oldor’s castle. Tom trueheart wriggled through the snow to get to the immens red door. Eventually he got to the red door after he jumped out of the snow onto the foot steps two gigantic bulky bull dogs raced out of no where so Tom trueheart raced between the bull dogs legs and stabed both bull dogs eventully they transformed into stone.

Tom trueheart tride nugging the door open but it wouldent buge. Luckily being small helped him get threw the bottom of the red door. He got in hidding behind jars and books so the gards don’t see him he found a book that had lot’s of spells in it. The book was ginourmas but the book had a spell to make things float so he whispered the spell to make the book float. He tied a small rope to the book and sprinted to the dungen. There was his six brothers and the princess brides. He yelled out the spell to open the dungen then poofed himself and his six brothers with the princess brides back to there home land and destroyed the book.

Movie with Room 8

For cybersmart Room 1 went to one of the juneor classes Room 8 and they were shoing us how to edit and make a little movie with a app called explain everything we all got to choose a budey my buddy and I didn,t get to finish our movie.

I enjoyed editing the movie with my budey.

I found it hard to finish the movie with my budey on time.

People of Parihaka.

In Room1 we have been learning about the people of Parihaka and when the soldiers were trying to take there land.

I found it hard to finish my google drawing on time.
I enjoyed learning about the People of Parihaka.

An albatross landed on a marae and the People of Parihaka
wore the albatross feather and some solders came into there land with guns and destroyed there land and brought the men to jale for no reason.

In Room1 in my group for reading we had to create a google drawing of the doctor in the we were reading The Materialiser.I enjoyed creating the google drawing.I found it hard to finish it and put it on my blog in time at school so I had to finish and put it on my blog at school.

Dragonds slayer

In Room1 we were learnig to structure.
In our writing we ha dto include.

• use a hook
• describe the setting
• describe the characters
• describe the problem
• describe the resolution
• edit for spelling and punctuation
• present my work to a peer for assessment

Dragons slayer

In a time when dragons threatend mankind. There was only one man to fight. His name is Tarragon And riding on his brave battle horse black can you through the village in the pouring rain and the screaming thunder. Trying to pick a fight with a ginormous fire breathing Beast a 

dragon.

Both black bowl and tarragon arrived to the desert. While later Black Bull the mighty horse and tarragon the mighty fine fire breathing Beast fighting machine ended up in a Canyon a Dusty hollow Canyon. Tarragon was listening he could hear a strong noise he turned a corner and there it was all these howers looking for what he needed, he found it. The fire breathing dragon Tarragon pulled out his sharp pointed sword and is strongly built shield. The dragon saw Tarragon the dragon charged for Tarragon but Tarragon reserved his sword and stabbed the dragon right in the neck.

He finally killed the dragon but there was a problem a big problem when Tarragon was walking back to black bull his horse a baby dragon came out of nowhere then Tarragon realised he didn’t just kill a dragon he killed a mother. And there was another problem there was not just one adorable baby dragon there were three adorable baby dragons two more baby dragons popped out. So he loaded them on his horse black bull but there was no room for Tarragon so he had to walk. Before the end of the story Tarragon actually was really glad he got to take the baby dragons home because they really helped him with his work. THE END.

Smart media

 Today We were learning how to verify online information and analise the construction of digital media.

I found it hard to make my slide look real.

I enjoyed editing my peace of work.  

Calaway

In Room1 for writing we were writing recounts.
In our success criteria we needed to use.

• use some long and short sentences
• use adjectives and adverbs
• use juicy verbs to start a sentence
• use a smile or metaphor
• keep to one main idea in each paragraph
• edit for spelling and punctuation

I found it hard to ceep my story to one main point.

I enjoyed putting my story on my blog

Calaway

On Friday morning after the trip to Canada I was so excited it was the day. The day we were going to Callaway Park. When we got there I sprinted all the way to the haunted castle. I went into the castle and there was an elevator and I press the button. Then a light went on. There was a skeleton and this screaming noise. I was really frightened. Next my sister and I went to the bumper cars. We went in two separate bumper cars.It was extremely fun, there was an older boy who smashed into me on the bumper cars and I waked my forehead on the steering wheel and I got a massive bruise. After we went on a couple more rides. my family and I got an ice cream. Mine was bubble gum flavour I was it was so delicious.  

Comic strip

In Room1 for reading we were making comic strips of the book we were reading.
My book was in his blood it,s about race car driver.
I enjoyed making my comic strip.
I found it hard to get it done befor friday.

What media I use.

In Room1 for cybersmart we were learning about media and we all had to make a slide of what media we use.
Mine was playing on my electric guitar it mite not seem like media but the music is media.
I enjoyed tacking my selfie and removing back rounds of photos and pasting them on my blog.
I found it hard to finish in time so I finished it at home.

Swimming compitition

In Room1 for writing we were aloud to choose something to write about.

I found it hard to blogge my story in time.

I enjoyed writing my story.

Swimming competition

It was a boiling hot day. I was just waiting to get to the pool. When we got to the pool I was a little nervous. When I got in the pool for warm up I felt really refreshed but the dumb things was some kid kicked my finger in warm up. When a man blew the whistle I was one of the first people to race. It was l00 metre IM. My finger was still sore but I still did it. I was really lucky because I won that race. After that race there were four more then we went home. Sunday we had to get up early because we had to be at the pool by 8.00am. I was really cold when we got there because I didn’t listen to my mum when she said, “PUT ON YOUR JACKET”! When we got inside some people were handing out some liquid energy jelly which tasted all right. When I set my swimming gear up I was saying in my head ‘do I want to do warm up after my finger getting kicked?’ I didn’t do warm up. I wasn’t as nervous as I was before. When the warm up was finished I went up for my race. It was 100 metre free. I was the 7th heat. I got put in lane 3 then the race started. I was getting tired but didn’t give up and I won that race. After the rest of the races there was a club relay. I was in it. We were so close to losing but we just won. Two days later we got our medals. I got 8 gold medals which were all my medals. The races I won them in were 100 metre IM,

I enjoyed making the google slide.
I found it hard to get my google drawing on my emaile.

In Room1 for cybersmart we were making logo mash for rugby teams.

I found it hard to fill in the coulers.

I enjoyed making the logo mash.

Maui waka

In Room1 for reading each reading group had a legend my reading group was on Maui and the big fish.

We had to make a fishing boat for Maui.

I enjoyed creating my fishing boat.

I found it hard to get rid of the back rounds on some of the pictures even when I put png and I forgot to use removing back rounds.

Speeches

In Room1 we were doing our speeches.

We included our pepeha.

We had to use a clear voice, stand still, speak loudly,

 go at our own pace, look up at the crowd, use expression and be confident.

Our speeches needed to include a rhetorical question and be persuasive. 

My speech was on climate change.

In Room1 we were macking a google drawing about sploosh.
I enjoyed making the google drawing.
I found it hard to think of a celebrity.

Climate change

In Room1 we were writing about climate change.
I found it hard to use good facts.
I enjoyed writing it on a google doc.

Climate change.
What is climate change and what is it doing to our planet? Climate change is different to global warming. Climate change is the change in our climate including wind, rain, snow, hail and temperature. Global warming refers to any changes in temperature across the earth.

People have been burning down trees in the Amazon rainforest to get more land for farming but the fires are out of control. There is so much smoke it's covering Brazil and you can see it from space.The wildfires are affecting the environment and destroying the Earth's lungs because the Amazon Forest gives us 20% of our oxygen. The Amazon Forest has millions of species of animals and they have all been getting threatened by the bush fires such as the green anaconda, the uakaris, the brown throated sloth and the poison dart frog. Also there are millions of tribe people that lived there.

Because of the warm weather, glaciers melting. This means the sea levels rare ising and there's flooding in owlands. Flooding lowlands is when there's less land and more water. The sea temperature is getting warmer and is killing the sea creatures.

Fossil fuels are also causing climate change. Fossil fuels such as coal, fuel, petrol and oil have been releasing too much CO2 (that is carbon dioxide) and that cuases hot air.

I think we need to stop climate change because it’s effecting nature. 

Amazon Rain Forest Wildfires

In Room1 we were making a google drawing about the facts we found about Amazon Rainforest wildfires.
I found it easy to make the google drawing.
I wasn't sure what facts to use.

In Room1 for cybersmart we were making a maths quiz.
I found it easy to find all of the images and gifs.
I found it hard to make every slide how I wanted them to be.

In Room1 we made a animation about bees.
I found it easy to find the pictures and back rounds.
I found it hard to make everything look the exact same.

Caged chickens should be baned.

In Room1 we were writing about wy caged chickens should be baned.

I found it easy to write the speech.

I found it hard to find the rite facts.

Caged chickens should be banned.

Would you want to be a caged chicken?

I firmly believe that caged chickens should be banned.

My first main reason is that these chickens are squished. 82 percent of laying hens are caged.In one shed 45 thousand chickens are caged.Each chicken has the space of an A4 piece of paper.

My second main reason is that they can't act natural.A hen can't scratch for food and cant perch.A hen can't have a dust bath flap her wings or stretch her legs.They get aggressive when another hen gets in there way so they peck each other and kill each other.

My third main reason is they get disease.They get osteoporosis and fatty liver disease.They get recites and don't get any vitamin D.

That's wy you should let your chickens be free range.

My three reasons are they get squished cant act natural and they get disease.

Tom Fedro

In Room1 we were panting a picture that was once painted by Tom Fedro.

Tom Fedro

Tom Fedro is an abstract artist from Chicago where he attended the illness Institute of art. Since childhood drawing & painting where are  always his hobbies. he was fascinated with portraits of woman in a pop art College style featuring blood colours and lines.        

Mary Mackillop

In Room1 we went to church to celebrate Saint Mary Mackillops feast day.

Who is Mary MacKillop?

Mary MacKillop was an Australian nun who has been declared a saint by the Catholic Church as St Mary of the Cross.

What did Mary MacKillop do? 

Mary's first job was as a clerk when she was 14 then she worked as a governess looking after her cousins and teaching them their lessons.

How did she become a Saint?

 In june 1995 Mary Mackillop was beatified by Pope John Paul ll. In February 2010 an Australian woman who had terminal cancer she called upon Mary MacKillop in prayer and her cancer disappeared. 

Removing backround

In Room1 we have been learning how to remove backgrounds.
I found it tricky to make me look like I was siting in the go kart.
I found it easy to change backgrounds and find images.

Bees

In Room1 we have been learning about bees.
I found it easy to find facts and create my google slide.
I found it tricky to make my google slide the right size to put on my blog.

Winter

In Rom1 we have been learning to use descriptive words.
I found it tricky to finish it all in time and think of descriptive words.

Outside, frosty crackling branches waved in the mist. Steep snowy mountains glistened under the sky. Still silent sky hovered over the hills while my legs shivered in the frosty cold snow.

Science Fair

In room 1 we have been doing science fair projects
 I really found it hard to work in a group
I really enjoyed building our rocket.

Gummy Worms

we have been learning how to make gummy worms. I enjoyed making the gummy worms I found it challenging use more technical language

Have you ever wondered what makes a polymer? A polymer is a long chain of hundreds or thousands of molecules joined together. First we put one teaspoon of calcium chloride with 2 cups of water to make the activator solution. Then shuck up some sodium alginate into a pipette. Then squeeze the sodium alginate into the activator solution then it will turn into a gummy worm looking gel. This is a polymer it is a chemical reaction. By Cole 11/June/2019
