Fireworks

In my class we had to write about a time we saw fireworks.

I enjoyed writing my story.

I found it hard to think of a metaphor in my story.

  Fireworks!

The races finished and it was time for the fireworks. I was jumping up and down like there were ants in my pants. I was so excited. A person in a bright orange vest was getting the fireworks ready before it was time to launch the fireworks.


It was time the man in the vest stepped back. We started the countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 Bang!, Pop!, Pow! the fireworks launched into the air. They were bombs exploding in the dark sky. Wahoo! I yelled some of the fireworks looked like bullets getting sprayed by a mini gun.


“That was the best,” I said as the fireworks ended. Everyone was cheering. The lights turned on and everyone grabbed their bags and headed for the car park. I opened the car door and said I wish we could see that all again.
