In my class we got to choose weather we make a wevideo about kapa haka or our disco we had at school I chose the disco.
This week we performed at the kapa haka festival. And today we had to write a descriptive paragraph about the festival.
In my class we had to write about a time we saw fireworks.
I enjoyed writing my story.
I found it hard to think of a metaphor in my story.
The races finished and it was time for the fireworks. I was jumping up and down like there were ants in my pants. I was so excited. A person in a bright orange vest was getting the fireworks ready before it was time to launch the fireworks.
It was time the man in the vest stepped back. We started the countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 Bang!, Pop!, Pow! the fireworks launched into the air. They were bombs exploding in the dark sky. Wahoo! I yelled some of the fireworks looked like bullets getting sprayed by a mini gun.
“That was the best,” I said as the fireworks ended. Everyone was cheering. The lights turned on and everyone grabbed their bags and headed for the car park. I opened the car door and said I wish we could see that all again.
In my class we had to make a book about what is matter on book creature.

I found it hard to do five pages of facts.

Guitar performance
When your nervous it feels like everything you do matters.
I was only ten years old and I was about to perform on my guitar for the very first time.
I thought that this was just a dream I never thought that this would ever happen.
As I grabbed my guitar and made my way to the squeaky wooden seat. I turned my guitar up full volum and waited for the perfect moment. Sweat was dripping down the edge of my forehead with my arms, legs and fingers shaking.
So I started playing my favourite songs saying to myself don't muck up, don't muck up. I ended with an open E string.
When I walked back to my chair everyone stood up and started clapping; they were as loud as fireworks shooting into the air. I felt so relieved everyone loved it. I couldn't believe I actually did that because when you are nervous everything you do matters.
Today I learned how mood rings work. There are different colors and the different colors mean different moods. there is
Violet: happy and romantic
blue: calm and relaxed
Green: neutral
Yellow: tense or excited
Brown nervous and anxious
Mood rings are actually not real stone they are made out of glass or quartz.
In my class we were learning about the sacraments of initiation.

Is music good for your health ?
Is music good for your health? I strongly believe that music is fantastic for your mental health because it can reduce anxiety, pain and helps with sadness. Music often can put people in a good mood and if you play an instrument it can be very therapeutic for your mind. I personally don't find anything better than listening or playing music.
Firstly, I strongly agree music is a great thing if you are feeling down. Music played by a piano makes you calm, changes your attitude and is soothing for the mind. Slow music is good for meditating and makes your breathing slow down which then slows down your heart. Music that is upbeat can put you in the groove and make you feel ready for your day. Rock music makes you let loose and go wild . Scientists have said that some music can even help with depression. It reduces muscle pain and it can control your mental health.
Secondly, Without a doubt music is good for you because it can make your brain stronger. Music can restore functions after very bad accidents like crashes. Music fixes the brain. Music can improve movement in patients that have had a stroke or people that have a type of disease. Music does way more than put people in good moods. It is a musical medicine.
Lastly, There is no question that music can make you smarter. New research says if you regularly play an instrument it can change the shape and power of your brain because it makes you use both sides of your brain. If you play a guitar it can make your fingers very technical and if you play the drums you have to move your hands and feet at the same time to try and make a good beat and that can be very difficult.
In conclusion I have told you 3 reasons why music can help you. I personally think this is why you should play a musical instrument or listen to music more. When I am sad I go and play my guitar and it makes me feel way better.

Goblin shark is part of the mitsukurinidae family. They are known as deep sea meat eating monster when they are actually harmless. Their teeth are made for grabbing. Predators to them are other sharks but manly blue sharks.
Goblin sharks have soft, flabby and blade-like bodies. They have a long snout that looks like a piece of pallet wood. Goblin sharks are 3.8 meters long and can live up to 30-35 years. They have a bright blue color on the edge of their fin and have extremely sharp teeth.
The goblin shark lives in open oceans from near the surface to depths of at least 1300 meters deep. Scientists have said that goblin sharks only come near to shore at night but mostly stay in the deep water. They live in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and because the goblin shark lives so deep they have to eat other sharks and rays as well as crustaceans.
Goblin sharks use electro body organs to sense their food. Their mouth propales out then grabs their fish and swallows it whole. Just like other animals the goblin shark protects itself by camouflage. I think that goblin sharks are hideous creatures and that’s what makes them interesting to me.
